2019 Annual Partner Celebration

& Keynote Speakers

Gaylord, MI – The Otsego County Economic Alliance, Inc. (OCEA) is pleased to announce its 3rd Annual OCEA Partner Celebration breakfast!

 

The event is proudly sponsored by Fifth Third Bank and will be held February 11, 2019 at the Otsego Resort in Gaylord, MI.  Doors will open at 7 a.m. featuring a buffet breakfast with a 7:30 a.m. event start.  OCEA will present an overview of 2018 economic activities, industry updates, business recognitions and awards.  OCEA is excited to feature two distinguished keynote speakers:  Jon Jensen, President and CEO of North American Interconnect (NAI) and Bob Jacquart, CEO of Jacquart Fabric Products - Home of Stormy Kromer.

 

Jon Jensen is the President and CEO of NAI, a global interconnect design and manufacturing company serving the telecommunications, industrial technology, and medical markets.  NAI is based in Troy, Michigan with its first manufacturing facility in the United States opening in Otsego County, MI in February 2018.  Under Jon’s leadership, NAI has expanded to seven manufacturing facilities in Mexico, China and now the USA with support operations in Malaysia and Singapore.  NAI employs approximately 3000 employees.  Prior to NAI Jon was President and CEO of L-com, Inc., a global manufacturer and direct marketer of network connectivity products based in Massachusetts.  Jon has spent his career driving revenue and profit growth in high-tech and industrial manufacturing businesses.  Jon is a degreed Mechanical Engineer and holds several US and international patents. 

 

Bob Jacquart is the CEO of Jacquart Fabric Products – Home of Stormy Kromer, based in Ironwood, Michigan.  Bob’s family business started as a small job shop, repairing boat covers and creating custom bags.  The company has designed, engineered and manufactured thousands of distinctive and innovative textile products.  Bob came on board as Manager in 1970 when there was only 1 employee, today the business is thriving with 160 employees and an 80,000 square foot facility.  Bob has built Jacquart Fabric Products into an award-winning, national, multi-brand company which includes the Stormy Kromer line.  Jacquart Fabric Products has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Commerce and has appeared on “Made in America” on the Discovery Channel.  The company’s products have appeared in Olympic trials, on a White House swing set, in the Smithsonian, and atop the heads of Hollywood celebrities.  Bob serves on the Board of Trustees for Michigan Technological University, is a member of Northern Michigan University’s Business Advisory Council, and a board member and Vision Committee Chair for Copper Peak, Inc. the world’s largest ski-jump.  He is currently overseeing its re-emergence as a world-class competitive winter sports venue.  Bob’s personal motto – and key to his success is – “never stop growing”
